KTA was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing design for the facility. Included in our scope of work were the design for general office spaces, conference areas, computer rooms, an auditorium, library, fitness center, multimedia rooms, and hearing rooms.
The building is a class “A” government space with consideration of elements for a Department of the Justice Class IV security rating. We provided Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling for the auditorium HVAC system. The building encompasses access for the public as well as restricted secure areas. Our design included the installation of a 2000 kw diesel stand by generator with an 8000 gallon above grade fuel storage tank and the design of four, 500 KVA static UPS modules in a parallel redundant configuration to provide emergency and critical power to essential areas throughout the building.
