BACKGROUND:

 

Mr. Brightwell brings over 30 years of engineering design experience to every project. With a passion for innovative solutions, Kevin looks to develop high performance buildings while balancing client needs, life cycle costs and environmental impacts. His areas of expertise include mechanical systems for commercial, educational, health care and mission critical facilities as well as energy analysis and due diligence studies. Mr. Brightwell has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is licensed in 47 states and the District of Columbia. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of ASHRAE.

 

As Director of Quality Assurance, Kevin is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of engineering standards. Understanding the challenges that must be overcome on a project, he strives to find creative solutions that meet the technical needs of the client while still accommodating their schedule and budget. Mr. Brightwell’s knowledge of mechanical systems and his excellent reputation have helped make KTA Group one of the leading engineering design firms in the Washington Metropolitan area.
